Swingin'

An update! Wooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! hehe

Well, took the Kat-unit to the hangar swing dance at the Indianapolis Airshow (at Mt Comfort airport) Saturday night. After some digging around and a purchase, Kat managed to throw together a great-looking, semi-period outfit. Since I didn't have my US WW2 "Class-A's" (dress uniform: brown wool jacket & pants, khaki shirt & tie), I had to go in my Luftwaffe "walking-out" dress. To the uninitiated, this is a German air force uniform that I wear doing German paratrooper, as paras back then were part of the air force instead of the regular army. Anyway, dressy peaked visor cap, black tie with dressy blue shirt, and shiny-ass jump boots made the look. Took until Sunday afternoon to get the pomade out of my hair though :) Where the hell was Christie?? You said you were all stoked for the dance & show..... :-P

Didn't get to go back to the airshow like I planned though.... stayed up way too late Saturday, which caused me to wake up around noon. I figured most of the reenactors were packing it up early in the afternoon anyway, so I instead went to lunch with Lorie, then later some dinner with Sonja (right before she has to go under the knife and hopefully get a kidney that will work this time!! via Bonnie Blue from PRN fame), and dropped off another load of stuff at the new apartment in Fountain Square. Man, I FUCKING LOVE the apartment so far, but schlepping my stuff up to the 3rd floor is a killer! Need to devise a winch/rope elevator system to one of my windows.... hehe
